Star is a small rural, public school in Franklin County, Washington, offering instruction for students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade.  The school is nestled on the edge of a beautiful wheat field.
 
Star School District operates only one school, Star Elementary.  Throughout the school's history, the area around Star was a dryland wheat farming area made up of large farms.  It is developing into a varied farming area.  It now includes irrigated land (water from the Snake River), cherry and apple orchards, potatoes, onions, corn, and other crops along with dryland wheat.
 
Star School strives to teach each student at their level and encourages them to reach their highest potential.  Positive behavior and a family connected atmosphere are taught and stressed daily.
